Establishment of a co-insurance pool to cover energy risks in Senegal

The Société Sénégalaise de Réassurance, SEN RE, will coordinate the co-insurance pool that will be soon set up by Senegal's insurers' association (Association des Assureurs du Sénégal). The pool brings together all Senegalese non-life insurance companies to cover energy risks.

According to Mohamadou Moustapha Noba, president of the association, energy risks constitute a specific risk that requires a common approach from all the companies on the market.
