The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has released the key performance indicators for the insurance market for the first nine months of 2025.
Total turnover reached 87.5 billion EGP (1.8 billion USD), up from 69 billion EGP (1.4 billion USD) at the end of September 2024, marking growth of 26.9%.
The market continues to be led by the non-life segment, which generated 49.1 billion EGP (1 billion USD) in premiums, accounting for 56.2% of total activity. Life insurance premiums reached 38.4 billion EGP (800 million USD).
Over the same period, insurers paid out 46.8 billion EGP (973.2 million USD) in claims, representing a year-on-year increase of 48.6%.
