Eagle Insurance is losing information of 40 000 clients

Eagle Insurance, subsidiary of Zurich Insurance, has lost a hard disk containing personal data of 40 000 clients. The disk stored their addresses, telephone numbers and bank details and was lost in August 2008. News of this happening was disclosed to the insurer's clients only as of October 22, 2009. They are indeed supposed to take necessary steps to have their bank details changed as soon as possible.
