Dubai’s municipality sets up a laboratory testing materials

The municipality of Dubai has set up a laboratory designed to test building materials and products, a measure that is meant to improve fire safety in buildings, especially skyscrapers.

The establishment of the laboratory has been carried out in association with the departments of civil defense which will have access to it in order to certify fire resistance tests. The laboratory is set to start operations by the end of 2016.
