Doha Insurance Group to establish branch in Saudi Arabia

Doha Insurance Group has obtained approval from Qatar’s central bank to open a branch in Saudi Arabia.

Located in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District, the new entity will conduct reinsurance activities.

The Qatari group will soon complete all legal and regulatory procedures required by the relevant Saudi authorities in order to begin operations as soon as possible.

This move forms part of Doha Insurance Group’s regional and international expansion strategy.

It is worth noting that in March 2025, the group also opened a reinsurance branch in India.
