Debates around recapitalisation process

Officially achieved in February 2007, the recapitalisation process of the insurance sector has been marred by some controversies and conflicts. A technical panel has been set up to correct the malfunctions reported. On the other hand, the supervising authority NAICOM is undergoing restructuring. According to some sources, the companies that are definitively accredited are limited to 48 and not 71 as initially announced.
