Deadly tornadoes sweep through Mississippi

On 24 March 2023, powerful tornadoes seriously hit the state of Mississippi, in the southern United States.

The natural disaster caused significant material damage, including torn-off roofs, destroyed vehicles and completely wiped-out neighborhoods.

The provisional toll is 25 deaths and dozens of injuries. The authorities are expecting these figures to be much higher.

This weather phenomenon is very common in the United States, especially in the central and southern parts of the country.
