For over a week, central Vietnam has been experiencing severe flooding caused by record rainfall of up to 1.7 meters within 24 hours.
As of 2 November 2025, 35 people have been confirmed dead, and five remain missing.
According to local authorities, the damage is extensive: 128 000 homes have been flooded, several roads have been damaged or blocked, 5 000 hectares of crops have been destroyed, and 16 000 cattle have perished.
