The insurance company Daman has come up with a solution to combat medical insurance fraud perpetrated by clinics and pharmacies.
Inquiries have revealed that doctors are drafting false reports by intensifying patients' symptoms and by prescribing fictitious tests.
Pharmacies have also been involved by modifying prescriptions and by recommending products which are not covered by insurance such as cosmetics.
These fraudulent activities will cause insurance premiums to increase.
The sanctions inflicted upon perpetrators range from warnings to the risk of withdrawal from the suppliers' list.
