CSA regulates the activity of foreign brokers

A ministerial decree requires foreign reinsurance brokers operating in Algeria to obtain a permit issued by the insurance supervision commission (CSA). This authorization applies to all foreign brokers taking part in the placement of facultative business or local treaties. CSA will provide insurance companies with a list of the reinsurance brokers eligible to practice in Algeria. The authorization must be renewed every three years.
