Covid-19: Emirates extends its travel insurance coverage

Emirates Airlines is extending its comprehensive travel insurance policy. The coverage, underwritten by AIG, now applies to all tickets purchased on or after 1 December 2020.

The policy includes medical as well as emergency evacuation expenses to a maximum of 500 000 USD, quarantine fees of 150 USD per day during 14 days and trip cancellation fees capped at 7 500 USD.

In July 2020, Emirates was the first company in the world to provide free coverage for coronavirus-related expenses.
