The cost of the insured losses of the Fukushima nuclear accident revised upwards

After having advanced an amount of 5 800 billion JPY(74 billion USD) in December 2011 and 11 000 billion JPY (104.5 billion USD) in 2013, the Japanese government has once again doubled the cost of the nuclear disaster of Fukushima.

From now on, the total invoice required to compensate victims and dismantle the nuclear power plant is around 20 000 billion JPY (176 billion USD).
