CNMA: the insurance scheme for agricultural disasters will soon to be operational

According to Chérif Benhabiles, general manager of the Caisse Nationale de Mutualité Agricole (CNMA), the insurance scheme for agricultural disasters (DACA) will soon be implemented. It could even be operational before the end of the current year.

For C. Benhabiles, CNMA is broadening its scope of action by proposing a new insurance policy covering industrial risks. The latter includes business interruption due to property damage.

As a reminder, the CNMA, which underwrites 77% of the agricultural sector's premiums, ranks fifth on the Algerian property insurance market with a 2022 turnover of 13.3 billion DZD (96.4 million USD).
