Cleanup of the Lebanese insurance market

The insurance regulatory entity has started a cleanup operation targeting the Lebanese market, a move aimed at countering inobservance of the regulations and at introducing good governance rules.

The authorities will outline the procedures for control, imposing a panel of sanctions against all offenders who disregard insurance regulations. Supervision will be targeting both insurance companies and intermediaries.
