Chedid Re hosts its annual lunch

Chedid Re, a reinsurance broker and member of Chedid Capital Holding, hosted its annual luncheon on 26 September 2025 at Fadel Restaurant in Bikfaya, Lebanon.

Held under the theme “Here for you. Far together,” the event marked the return of a longstanding industry tradition after a one-year hiatus due to geopolitical tensions in Lebanon.

The gathering celebrated Chedid Re’s enduring partnerships and shared achievements with clients and collaborators across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

It also served as a platform to recognize regional and international leaders in the insurance and reinsurance sectors for their contributions to market development.

Among those honored were:

• Chakib Abouzaid, Secretary General of the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF)
• Assaad Mirza, President of the Association of Insurance Companies in Lebanon (ACAL)
• Talal Ounsi, President of the Lebanese Insurance Brokers Syndicate (LIBS)
• Elie Hanna, former President of LIBS

In recent years, Chedid Re has continued its international expansion, opening offices in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) and Paris (France) in 2022, followed by a new branch in Saudi Arabia in 2023.
