Catlin gets established in Zurich

The Bermudan Catlin has obtained license from the Swiss authorities to underwrite reinsurance business from the Swiss territory. The new entity, based in Zurich, is dotted with a capital of 1.1 billion USD. Catlin has over 50 subsidiaries in over 20 countries and generates a turnover of 3.7 billion USD. The reinsurer is particularly active in marine and aerospace risks.
