Broker Howden to launch operations in Bahrain

The UK-based brokerage group Howden has been granted approval by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) to conduct business in the Kingdom.

The new entity, called Howden Bahrain, will provide a full range of insurance brokerage and advisory services across several classes of business including aviation, construction, energy, property and casualty and some special risks.

This venture is in line with the broker's expansion strategy in the Gulf region, where it already has a presence in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Oman with over 200 employees.
