Brexit: Swiss Re creates an entity in Luxembourg

Swiss Re opened a new subsidiary in Luxembourg. Named Swiss Re Capital Markets Europe, the new structure will ensure the continuity of the group's activities within the European area after Brexit, scheduled for 29th, March 2019.

Created by Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, a company dedicated to commercial risks, the new entity- to be led by Stuart Brown- will specialize in weather and energy risks.

In anticipation of Brexit, 11 insurance and reinsurance companies have transferred or set up their European base in Luxembourg.
