Bodily injury, new compensation payments

The association of Chinese insurers has drafted a new underwriting manual amending the limit of bodily injury claims. Dating back to 1998, the old provision listed 34 types of injuries and disabilities for 10 classes of insurance. The new version provides for new injuries, counting 281 types of bodily injuries to the same number of classes of insurance as before.
This provision will come into force in January 1, 2014. Insurers do not rule out to increase tariffs and restrict coverages for certain activities and jobs deemed hazardous.
