Baobab Reinsurance dismisses half of its staff

Urged by the harsh Zimbabwean economic environment, Baobab Reinsurance, ZIMRE Holdings subsidiary, is separating from nearly half its staff.

Solomon Tembo, COO of the holding, justified those redundancies by the need to "contain cost structure" to preserve reinsurance segment, of which ZIMRE Holdings would like to make its core activity.
