Banks are not authorized to sell insurance products

The Zambian authorities have confirmed that banks and insurance companies are not submitted to the same authority. According to the same sources, banks are currently offering an insurance service in breach of the banking legislation. It is for this reason that the insurance supervisory authority does no longer authorize banks to market insurance products.
