AXA is negotiating the sale of AXA Life Europe for 1.4 billion USD

Negotiations between AXA and UK private equity firm Cinven for the sale of AXA Life Europe (ALE) are underway. Headquartered in Dublin, the insurer’s life insurance platform "variable annuities" manages nearly 250 000 contracts annually.

This transaction is part of the restructuring of the French group's activities and could bring in to the insurer nearly 1.2 billion EUR (1.4 billion USD).
