AXA LM acquires a majority stake in Emirates Re

AXA Liabilities Managers (Axa LM), specialist in run-off management, has purchased a majority stake in Emirates Retakaful (Emirates Re).

Based in Dubai, the UAE reinsurer operates in non life insurance and is active in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and India. This transaction comes less than a month after the acquisition of Germany's Gothaer Re on June 26, 2018.
