AXA intends to acquire the insurance assets of the bank Itau

According to Henri de Castries, CEO of AXA ,The AXA Group intends to acquire the insurance assets put on sale by the Brazilian bank Itau.

The acquisition, estimated at 424 million USD, would allow the French insurer to strengthen its presence in Brazil, where it already has interests in asset management (Alliance Bernstein Investments) and assistance (inter Partner Assistance) companies.
