Authorities count on privatization

Following the new orientations announced in the economic sector, the Libyan authorities examine the possibility of privatizing companies and creating private ones. The creation of two entirely private companies is currently under study

Presently, there are only two insurance companies. The first is entirely state-owned, Libya Insurance Co; and the second is partially public: United Insurance Co.
