Allianz studies the acquisition of Hartford

Allianz wishing to expand on the North American non-life market is preparing a counter-offer for the takeover of Hartford Financial Services.

For the record, Chubb had already proposed the sum of 23.24 billion USD for the redemption of the US insurer. The offer was, however, rejected by Hartford's Board of Directors.
