Allianz to consolidate its presence in the UK

Allianz is consolidating its position in the United Kingdom by acquiring the insurance activities of Liverpool Victoria (LV) and Legal & General. The total lack of visibility on the outcome of the Brexit does not seem to discourage Allianz.

The sum disbursed for these two acquisitions amounts to a total of 820 million pounds (1.035 billion USD).

These transactions will allow the British subsidiary of the German group, Allianz UK, to rank second in the United Kingdom with a market share of 9% in premiums and a portfolio of 12 million customers.
