Allianz to acquire Aviva's insurance activities in Poland

The Allianz group is taking over Aviva's life and non-life insurance activities in Poland. The transaction is valued at 2.5 billion EUR (2.95 billion USD).

The acquisition would make Allianz the fifth largest insurer (life and non-life) in Poland and the second one in the life market.

The deal, which is still pending the approval of the competent authorities, should be finalized within the next year.
