Algerian insurance market: H1 2025 turnover

The National Insurance Council (CNA) has released the figures for the Algerian insurance market for the first half of 2025.

As of 30 June this year, turnover stood at 99.4 billion DZD (766.4 million USD), representing an 8.1% increase year-on-year.

The premium volume is broken down as follows:

• Non-life: 80.6 billion DZD (621.4 million USD)
• Life and health insurance: 12.1 billion DZD (93.3 million USD)
• International reinsurance acceptances: 6.2 billion DZD (47.8 million USD)
• Takaful: 500.8 million DZD (3.9 million USD)
