AIG plans on listing AIA on the stock market

The American insurer is intent on listing its subsidiary American International Assurance (AIA) on the stock market next year.
The group reckons that this move is likely to provide it with gains between 5 and 10 billion USD.
AIG has already attempted to sell AIA in order to refund as quickly as possible the American government, but the sale failed as no bidder came forward.
