AIG Memsa plans to consolidate its activity in the region

On the occasion of the opening of its new office in Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), the American insurer AIG Memsa has unveiled its development strategy in the region. AIG plans on consolidating its distribution network through the acquisition of local insurance companies and through partnerships designed for the marketing of bancassurance products.

AIG Memsa is targeting a 5 to 7% growth of the Takaful class of business whose turnover is likely to reach 7 billion USD by 2012.
