AIG appoints Adam Clifford as new CEO of International Commercial Insurance

American International Group (AIG) has appointed Adam Clifford as Chief Executive Officer of its International Commercial Insurance division. Based in London, Clifford will report to Jon Hancock, Chief Executive Officer of General Insurance.

The appointment will take effect on 5 January 2026.

Clifford brings nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and has held senior leadership roles at several global insurers, including Chubb, AXA, AIG, and Everest.
