Agricultural insurance project in Namibia

The state-owned insurer Namibia Special Risks Insurance Association (Nasria) plans to develop local agricultural insurance products. The objective is to protect farmers and livestock breeders against the risks of natural disasters.

To this end, the insurer has conducted a feasibility study to assess the needs of farmers and herders, their level of understanding of the risks and their solutions in the event of prolonged drought.
