Agricultural insurance is affected by the recent hailstorms

The important hail storms that affected the state of Victoria at the beginning of March caused 40 000 claims amounting to 307 million AUD (281 million USD) of estimated damages. In the meantime, Australian insurers had to face the losses triggered by the floods in Queensland worth 120 million AUD (109.8 million USD).
