The Africaine des Assurances gets settled on the Congolese insurance market

A new insurance company has seen the light of day in Brazzaville (Congo). The Africaine des Assurances Congo (AAFC), a subsidiary of the Africaine des assurances of Benin, gets settled in Brazzaville. The Africaine des Assurances is already present in Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Côte d'ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon and Togo.

As a reminder, the Congolese insurance market counts eight insurance companies:

• two life companies
• six non life

The turnover achieved by the market amounted to more than 60 billion FCFA (110 million USD) in 2017, against slightly more than 65 billion FCFA (106 million USD) in 2016.
