Africa Re to control 28% of reinsurance acceptances in Africa

According to its Group Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer, Corneille Karekezi, Africa Re underwrote 28% of the African reinsurance premiums, that is 725 million out of the total 800 million USD recorded in 2018.

For other sources, the leader of African reinsurance generates 90.6% of its turnover in Africa which counts currently 46 reinsurers.
