Activa Assurances to create a life subsidiary in the DRC

Activa Assurances has been granted approval by the Insurance Regulatory and Control Authority (ARCA) for the establishment of a life subsidiary called Activa Life DRC.

The Cameroonian insurer is now authorized to underwrite death, savings and capitalization policies in the DRC. The new entity is managed by Vincent Mwepu Makasa.

Activa Assurances has already been present in the country since 2019 through its subsidiary Activa DRC. The Cameroonian group is the first pan-African insurer to be based in the DRC.
