Creation of the Sharia Supervisory Committee in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRU) is setting up the Sharia Supervisory Committee.

Chaired by Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Nahedh, the committee will review IRU decisions relating to takaful insurance and other Sharia-compliant activities. It will be responsible for providing legal advice on claims, creating insurance documents, and proposing regulatory provisions.
