Zurich Insurance to sell its life and pensions activities in Italy

Zurich Insurance is selling its Italian life and pensions business to GamaLife, a Portuguese insurance company.

The sale will allow the Swiss insurer to improve capital utilization across its life portfolio and reduce its exposure to credit risk.

The transaction, which is expected to be completed during the second half of 2022, is still pending approval by the relevant authorities.
