The Windsor Tower’s fire would cost 10 million EUR to Mapfre

Totally destroyed by a fire last January 2005, the Madrid Windsor Tour was insured up to 40% by the Mapfre group and to 60% by Allianza Seguros.
The initial cover amounted to 90 million EUR (117 million USD) for the fire guarantee and 10 million EUR (13 million USD) for liability. Mapfre's net loss, after reinsurance, is estimated at 10 million EUR (13 million USD).
