Takaful insurance market in the GCC zone: results expected to decline

Moody's Investors Service is expecting a drop in the results of takaful insurance companies operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in 2022.

This would be primarily due to the rising claims experience, inflation and financial market volatility.

The rating agency is anticipating accelerated technology investment and M&A activities among the region's various takaful operators.
