Support to development actions

The government calls upon insurers and bankers to support development efforts. Finance minister met with banks and insurance companies'leaders on June 22, 2009 in Bamako. The insurers'delegation was headed by Cissé Aminata Dembélé, chairwoman of Mali's Insurance Companies'Committee and general manager of Lafia.
The minister pledged to proceed to the cleanup of the insurance brokerage business. He called for the respect of the domiciliation of insurance contracts in Mali and for the development of the life market.
