Star Assurance has an eye on foreign markets

On the 25^thanniversary of Star Assurance, Solomon Adiyiah, member of the board of directors, has revealed that the company is seeking to extend its operations outside Ghana. Established in 1985, Star Assurance stands among the country's first five non life insurers. In 2009, the company underwrote a gross premiums' volume of 19 million GHS (13.4 million USD). It is targeting a turnover of 26 million GHS (18.3 million USD) in 2010.
