Sompo Japan Insurance is targeting new markets for its reinsurance business

Sompo Japan Insurance is waiting for the green light from the Malaysian authorities to inaugurate its Kuala Lumpur office. The Kuala Lumpur establishment will be the second after that of Hong Kong to be achieved by the group outside Japan. For Kuala Lumpur, Sompo Japan is targeting a turnover of 5.6 million USD the first year and 45 million USD in 2012. Both branches combined will be posting a turnover of 135 million USD in 2012.
