Sompo International acquires Italian insurer A&A

Sompo International has signed agreement to acquire Italian agricultural risk insurer A&A. the transaction, whose amount has not been disclosed, is likely to be concluded in March 2018. A&A’s staff members and offices will be maintained.

Sompo Holdings’ non life subsidiary is counting on the development of its agricultural operations. In October 2017, the company had already initiated a crop insurance solution called “AgriSompo”, designed for the global market.
