The Insurance Association of Cambodia (IAC) has finalized an agreement with insurers, the objective of which is to provide better coverage of motor insurance risks.
The memorandum of understanding, which will come into force in January 2020, aims to facilitate the damage payment to the insured vehicles and make expert operations more accurate.
The ACA's claims committee will assist insurance companies in the handling of claims. A climate of mistrust towards insurers is widespread among road users. In 2018, of the 98 truck accidents in 2018, only 24% were covered by insurance.
