Sanlam given the green light to acquire Afrocentric Healthcare Assets Proprietary

The insurer Sanlam has received the necessary authorizations enabling it to finalize the purchase of a 28.7% stake in Afrocentric Healthcare Assets Proprietary (AHA).

The transaction is estimated at 703 million ZAR (45.6 million USD), the group’s biggest acquisition in the country following that of African Life made in 2005.
This confirms the pursuit of the external growth strategy conducted by Sanlam in South Africa as well as in the emerging countries of the rest of the continent.
