Following a bid that has involved six candidates, it was the French insurer Groupama which has been picked to take part in the recapitalization of STAR up to 35%. The other bidders are:
- Gulf Insurance Company (subsidiary of the Kuwaiti group KIPCO)
- COMAR (Tunisia)
- CARTE (Tunisia)
- Trust International Group (Cyprus)
- RMA-Watanya (Morocco)
- Tunis Re (Tunisia)
