Old Mutual’s 2008 figures

The volume of earned premiums in 2008 amounts to 78.860 billion ZAR (8.359 billion USD). It is very much the same as the volume achieved in 2007: 78.541 billion ZAR (11.627 billion USD). Despite this stable turnover, Old Mutual has seen its after-tax profits fall from 17.582 billion ZAR (2.603 billion USD) in 2007 down to 10.446 billion ZAR (1.107 billion USD) in 2008, that is a regression of 41%.
