SCOR Global P&C has made two new management appointments.
Stuart McMurdo has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the reinsurance activity.
He succeeds Michel Blanc, who has retired after 31 years with the French group.
Prior to his recent appointment, McMurdo held two positions with SCOR:
- CEO of SCOR UK and the Channel Syndicate, SCOR's syndicate at Lloyd's
- CEO of the EMEA (Europe-Middle East-Africa) reinsurance and specialty insurance activities
A recruitment process has been launched to replace the newly promoted London-based executive as Catherine Fassi takes over from S. McMurdo as CEO of EMEA.
The appointment is effective 1 July 2022. C. Fassi joined the French reinsurer in 2013.
